Fat Daddy's humble beginnings and strong family support taught him the value of family and friends. Having parents from the deep south who had a knack for cooking good, down-home, soul food, Fat Daddy was raised and groomed on food that comforted the soul and thought this was a normal part of everyone's life.
As a child, when his parents would go to work, Fat Daddy would often fire up the stove and the oven. After many burned and overcooked food items (and a few whippings in between!) Fat Daddy obtained the gift of soul food cooking. It was as a child that Fat Daddy first had entrepreneurial dreams of one day opening up his own restaurant and serving good tasting food in an uplifting environment.
